Video interviews of youths talking about their careers, talents, social life and fashion are being featured on The Zone at www.timesofmalta.com/thezone.

This week, new interviews with cyclist Chris Mercieca and Etienne Buttigieg, president of the ICT students’ organisation, will be uploaded.

Mercieca, a graduate from the Netherlands, decided to return to Malta from Maastright on a bicycle.

Mercieca’s cycling trip was a decision born out of a wish to make his coming home a memorable one and to experience cycling on the European continent.

Watch the interview and see some of the photos Mercieca took along the way.

Find out where he slept during his journey, hear about his experiences and learn about how many days he thought it would take him to complete the trip and how long it took him in reality.

Game of Codes

The Game of Codes competition, which takes place on Saturday, offers participants an unforgettable experience and a chance to be one of the winners. The Zone’s Matthew Cassar meets Buttigieg to find out more about the aims of the competition, why students should take part in it and what sort of opportunities past events have given to participants.

Cassar also speaks to last year’s winner, Samantha Catania, about her experience of the competition.
