Twelve school principals from various Indian states visited Malta to see how St Nicholas College delivers entrepreneurship education in the local context.
The delegation observed Year 5 students at Mġarr primary school taking part in an entrepreneurship session as part of a project in the Entrepreneurship through Education scheme.
The project involves the production of a magazine that publishes students’ articles and works of art. During the project, the students learnt about designing, printing and marketing techniques.
Members of the college’s entrepreneurship committee delivered presentations on various other entrepreneurship projects that the college has implemented.
The visit was organised by the University of Malta with the support of Malta’s High Commission in New Delhi. The delegation’s academic programme, entitled ‘Schools for the future: Fostering creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in education’, was designed by the University’s Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking.
