Anthony Miceli Demajo presented his credentials to Prince Albert of Monaco as Malta’s non-resident Ambassador to Monaco. The ceremony took place at the Royal Palace of Monaco.

At the meeting which followed, the Prince and the ambassador exchanged views on a series of topics of mutual interest, including ways to further consolidate business and economic ties as well as to develop cooperation in the field of environment.

On his part, Mr Miceli Demajo conveyed the greetings of President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca to Prince Albert as well as his keenness to further develop ties between Malta and the principality.

During his stay, the ambassador, who was accompanied by John Buttigieg, First Secretary at the Department European Affairs, held meetings with senior officials at the Department of Foreign Affairs of Monaco, at the Monaco Chamber of Economic Development, at the Association of Honorary Consuls, at the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation as well as at the International Hydrological Organisation based in Monaco.

A common feature that emerged was the strong bond of friendship that exists between the two countries as well as the appreciation of the Monegasque authorities for Malta’s continued support to Monaco’s endeavours to deepen its relations with the EU.
