Swing is the name of the game in Gozo with a music event that will focus totally on the genre that is enjoying a massive revival.

Swing and Sail: Sheerness Kent is the first of a series of events that will bring handpicked DJs together in one night to focus on electro-swing tunes from across the globe. The first port of call is, as the name implies, Sheerness in Kent.

The night will feature three DJs – Mark Magro, known for deep, tech and swing house, Chris Radium, focusing on electro swing mashed with breakz and disco and Andrew Rotin on electronic dance and deep tech house.

All three DJs will be bringing their own distinctive styles to the dance floor. Magro’s style is vast, yet always respectful to house. Producing and remixing tracks featuring elements from various genres, he is inspired mostly by mainstream house.

Chris Radium’s DJ sets and live performances always include an element of mashups and bootlegs with uplifting tracks along the set. His blending of music that spans different genres results in original, sound-bending sets with distinctive soundscapes.

Rotin’s main inspirations come from the techno and tech-house scene and this can clearly be heard in all of his sets. His love for electronic music lead him to host his own underground music events in Gozo.

Swing & Sail: Sheerness, Kent takes place on Friday at Horatio’s Upper Deck, Mġarr, Gozo.
