Dallas quits: The head of referees in Greece’s Central Refereeing Committee (KED) has stepped down four days after matches were suspended indefinitely following an attack on a KED official. Hugh Dallas, a retired Scottish referee, was appointed head of the KED in the close season and was in charge of appointing referees for matches in Greece’s top two divisions. He will stay on as head of training for those officials.

Butland: Derby County have extended the loan spell of Stoke City’s Jack Butland. The keeper’s initial stay with the Champion-ship club was due to expire this week but he will now remain at the iPro Stadium for another seven days while Rams no.1 Lee Grant completes his recovery from an ankle injury.

Little: Former Aston Villa and Leicester manager Brian Little has been appointed director of football with the Jersey FA. The 60-year-old, whose last managerial role was with Conference North side Gainsborough Trinity in 2011, takes on the newly-created post looking to raise the profile of Jersey football.

Muriel: Udinese have confirmed that Colombian international Luis Muriel is set for a spell out with a thigh injury. Muriel, who pulled up in pain during a friendly against Red Star Belgrade at the weekend, will be re-examined in eight to 10 days when it will become clearer how long he is set to be sidelined.

Yanga-Mbiwa: Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa will miss Roma’s trip to Atalanta on Saturday due to a hamstring strain suffered during international duty. The full-back was injured during France’s 1-1 draw against Albania on Friday. Roma confirmed in a statement that the player is expected to be sidelined for three weeks.
