Another batch of a Spanish brand of canned anchovy fillets in olive oil has been recalled by the health authorities for containing high levels of histamine.
A batch was recalled for the same reason last month.
The Health Directorate warned consumers not to eat the fillets of the brand Deep Blue in a 48 gram metal tin inside a carton box with a best before date of April 2015 and lot number B12.
High levels of histamine can cause intolerance. Headaches, migraines, nausea and anxiety are among the common symptoms. The Health Inspectorate Services can be contacted on 2133 7333.
