The message that domestic violence is not limited to women will be carried on bus stops in a campaign that starts today.

Five posters will portray the realities of domestic violence perpetrated within different types of relationships.

They feature emotional, psychological, physical, sexual and financial abuse, holding a person against one’s will, harassment and stalking.

The campaign will run until November 26 in Malta and between November 23 and December 2 in Gozo.

It is handled by the Commission on Domestic Violence, together with Men Against Violence and Rainbow Support Service.

It is aimed to coincide with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which falls on November 25.

The campaign’s focus is that domestic violence affects people irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation and age.
