The highlight of last weekend’s ASA time trial at the National Swimming Complex, Tal-Qroqq, was a junior record set by Mya Azzopardi.

The young Neptunes WPSC swimmer improved the Group B limit of 1 minute 20.07 seconds in the 100 metres breaststroke set by Amy Micallef in December 2010 when clocking 1 minute 19.20 seconds.

The 12-year-old girl also holds the Group A record in the 50m butterfly registered in December 2012 in a time of 36.52 seconds.
