CAMILLERI. On November 16, DORIS née Captur, widow of Paul, from Sliema, aged 93, peacefully went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. A beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is lovingly missed by her son Victor and his wife Yvette, her grandchildren Annelise, Paul and his wife Lara and her great-grandchildren Thomas, Alexander, Julian and Timothy. She is also lovingly missed by her brother Maurice and his wife Thelma, her in-laws Josephine Camilleri and Ina Captur, her cousins, nephews and nieces and friends and her loving carers Angela and Philip Camilleri. The funeral cortege leaves St Catherine’s Home, Attard, tomorrow at 1.45pm for Mass praesente cadavere at 2pm at Attard parish church followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Rather than flowers, any donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank her doctors and the devoted sisters and staff at St Catherine’s Home. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

D’AMATO. On November 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Josephine, his daughter Lorraine, his son Lewis and his wife Josette, his son Norman and his wife Ruth, and his brother Consiglio. He will also be deeply missed by his grand­children, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 7.45am today for Maria Regina parish church in Marsa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but a donation to Puttino Cares will be appreciated. Special thanks to all the dedicated staff at Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ELLUL. On November 14, NELLIE, aged 84, surrounded by her beloved family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church, met her Creator. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved husband John, her son Frank and his wife Veronica, her daughters Natalie and Alex Baldacchino, Mariella and her husband Charles Bonnici, Isabelle and her husband Philip Forace, and her treasured grandchildren Jonathan and Pierre, Karina, Lucienne and her husband Matthew, Matthew and his wife Lara, John, Andrew and Emma, great-grandchildren Peter and Amelia, her loving carer Evelyn, other relatives, in-laws and numerous friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8am for a celebration Mass praesente cadavere at 8.30am at Santa Marija church, Birkirkara, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Any donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SPITERI. On November 14, LINO, from Qormi, aged 76, peacefully went to meet the risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. A beloved and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is lovingly missed by his cherished wife and life partner Vivienne; his daughter Noelle, her husband Roger and their children Matthias, Zachary and Samara; his son Bertrand and his partner Joannie; his daughter Lara, her husband Patrick and their children Jake and Jade; his son Lincoln, his wife Natalie, and their children Valentina and Andrea. He is also lovingly missed by his sister-in-law Pauline and her partner John; his children-in-laws; and his other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for the Cathedral in Mdina where Mass will be celebrated at 2pm followed by private interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Rather than flowers, it was Lino’s wish that any donations would be given to Puttinu Cares or the Inspire Foundation. The family would like to thank Lino’s doctors, nurses and carers that attended him at home and in the various wards at Mater Dei and Boffa Hospital during his journey, especially those at the M3 ward in Mater Dei Hospital. May the Lord grant him serenity in an eternal spring.

Postal service to Libya

Maltapost has restarted its postal service to Libya. This followed a communication by the Universal Postal Union informing it that the mail conveyance services to and from Libya have returned to normal via Mitiga International Airport and Misurata International Airport.
