The Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) has issued a consultation paper on the adoption of cloud computing solutions by remote gaming operators.

“Cloud computing offers great advantages and options to remote gaming operators including better management and allocation of IT resources, flexibility, scalability and cost savings, but we are also aware of the fact that changing from one environment to another presents new challenges which operators and regulators alike are doing their best to address,” said LGA executive chairman Joseph Cuschieri.

The LGA received submissions from the Malta Remote Gaming Council working group and the Malta Chamber’s remote gaming business sections and taken these into consideration in compiling the consultation paper.

The consultation period will end on December 12.
