The Malta Tourism Authority had a double decker stand at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, one of the world’s premier events for the travel and tourism industry. The stand, built by local company Big Exhibits, was inspired by the kannizzata (lattice) used in gardens and fields to support plants and vines. Part of it was dedicated to Gozo and to Air Malta, while other co-exhibitors also had a presence. Nearly 50,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and international press attended WTM, which is set to generate around £2.5 billion in industry deals. The MTA held over 90 appointments at the fair over three days.
