It will run until Sunday, November 30 with a film screened every evening at 6.30pm at Dar l-Ewropa in St Paul’s Street, Valletta. This edition, featuring 17 European films that have won numerous prestigious awards, offers a variety of cinematography recounting stories of love, hatred, courage, history and determination.

The other participating countries are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia and Spain. All films, some of which have received support from the Creative Europe Media Programme, have English subtitles. Another feature of the festival which was successfully introduced in previous editions, will be the presentation of a series of Maltese short films which have recently received recognition for their creativity.

Entrance to watch all the films is free but donations in aid of Hospice Malta are welcome. Hospice Malta is a voluntary organisation which each year supports over 900 patients and their families.
