The regulations governing admission to Church schools have been published on the Curia website www.thechurchinmalta.org.

The church said there are 1,548 places. Applications will be received in various schools between this month and February for admission in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. Details on the required documents are included with the rules.

The church said some places from the 1,548 will be allocated for 'serious' cases who are covered by specific regulations and requirements.

Procedures when admission rules are found to have been broken can be seen at knisja.org/ChurchSchools . Breach of regulations may lead to expulsion of pupils from school.
