The Dance Studies Department of the School of Performing Arts at the University of Malta every year organises a programme of choreographies by local and foreign artists.

The show serves both as an experience of professional life for the students, and a showcase of their work throughout their three years at university.

This year’s performances will feature six choreographies by guest artists Yoshua Cienfuegos (Spain) and Athanasia Kanellopoulou (Greece) and Malta-based choreographers Jo Butterworth, Kayleigh Gelfo, Dorian Mallia and Lucía Piquero.

The students will present their work in four Spanish cities: León, Barcelona, Gijón and Mieres.

In Malta, they will perform at the Old Valletta Campus’s Theatre – MITP, and at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, as well as in schools and colleges in Malta and Gozo.
