Last Sunday, I arrived from a trip abroad and was very surprised that there were no checks at the airport for Ebola. There were no doctors to be seen or any medical staff.

I was also surprised that I was not given any form or card on the plane asking me to give details of my whereabouts in the past 21 days.

Basically, anyone could have gone to any of the infectedcountries, flown elsewhere and, finally, arrived with me on the same plane.

What controls are there in place to ensure this plague does not reach our shores?
