A number of cars parked at the Park & Ride in Blata l-Bajda were vandalised this morning.

Motorists reported finding drivers' windows smashed, with the vandals apparently having used large stones.  

Other cars were damaged, but not broken into.

At least eight cars were vandalised.

Two cars, including a police car, were reported to have been vandalised in the same manner outside Msida police station.

Over the weekend 23 cars were vandalised in Pembroke.

CCTV FOOTAGE HANDED TO THE POLICE

Malta Public Transport, which operates the Park and Ride in Blata l-Bajda, in a statement condemned the vandalism and said it was committed to providing all the necessary support and information to the police to investigate and arraign whoever was involved.

It said that today’s incident was considered to be an exceptional incident. The police have been given full access to the CCTV footage that is available.
