Anyone who has used public transport to go to Sliema to Valletta will understand my choice of heading for this letter.

Buses coming from St Julian’s arrive full of passengers, and people waiting at bus stops are then packed into them like a tin of sardines.

This criticism is not levelled at the bus drivers but at whoever is responsible for setting the schedules for the buses.

It is probably thought that running public transport with such schedules is efficient, but packing passengers in this manner make us look like a Third World country.
