• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly (Gozo) will hold a charity sale at the football ground near the main car park in Victoria today from 8am to 1pm. The price is €10 for each car space, payable on the day.
• A blood donation session will be held at Dar San Pietru u San Pawl, next to Mnarja Band Club, today from 8.30am to 1pm.
• Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will preside over today’s 9.30am Mass at Nadur parish on the occasion of the celebration of the feast of St Coronatus. A procession around the village streets, accompanied by the Mnarja Band, starts at 4.30pm.
• A remembrance day ceremony will be held at Santa Marija Cemetery, Victoria, today at 10.30am.
• Masses at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and eucharistic benediction.
• Masses at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta’ Ħamet, will be said today at 9.30am and at 7.30pm.
• The Gozo Horse Races Association is organising races for Shetland ponies and other pony breeds today at 1.30pm at the Xhajma Racetrack.
• How to train your dragon will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm. The fault in our stars will be screened on Saturday at 8.30pm.
• Il-Fergħa Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will hold an hour of adoration on Thursday from 9 to 10am at Our Lady of Pompeii church, Victoria. The rosary will be recited at 8.45am. Everyone is invited.
• A seminar entitled ‘Diabetes and vascular disease’ will be held on Friday at 6pm in the Gozo Ministry exhibition hall to mark World Diabetes Day. The public is invited to attend.
• Mark Sagona will conduct a lecture on the theme ‘The lure of Rome: on the trail of Italian art in Gozo 1850-1950’ on Saturday from 9am to 1pm at various sites around the island as part of Festival Mediterranea 2014. • The Military Vehicle Club Gozo will hold its annual show next Sunday from 9am to 2pm in St Peter and St Paul Square, Nadur, in collaboration with the local council.
