Vanarama Conference sides Dover and Chester FC provided the shocks of the FA Cup first round proper as they knocked out League Two teams Morecambe and Southend respectively.

Stefan Payne scored the only goal for Dover at The Crabble, while Chester came away from Roots Hall with a 2-1 success courtesy of goals from Ben Heneghan and Craig Mahon.

Heneghan headed the Blues in front from a Peter Winn free-kick in the early stages and they could have been further ahead before Southend hit back.

Barry Corr scored his 50th goal for the Shrimpers from the penalty spot after John White had been brought down inside the area but the visitors continued to impress and grabbed the winning goal five minutes into the second half through Mahon.
