Costa Diadema is the new flagship of Costa Cruises. Launched a few days ago, theDiadema is calling at Valletta on its maiden voy-age today.

Nicknamed the Regina del Mediterraneo (Queen of the Mediterranean), Costa Diadema is the ambassador of Italy’s finest, representing the best of Italian culture and lifestyle and transpiring the pleasant mood of Italian hospitality and holidays, from gastronomy, shopping, and entertainment to the design and artworks of the venues on board. Costa Cruises has invested around €550m in the construction of the 132,500-ton, 1862-cabin Costa Diadema.

Gastronomy lovers can savour a myriad of different dishes at one of its seven restaurants. These feature the finest Italian dishes as well as international and speciality cuisine such as Japaneseteppanyaki and authentic Neapolitan pizza.

Bars and lounges on board Diadema take guests to new experiences on the seas. The Vinoteca Gran Duca di Toscana, the Dresden Green beer house, the Classic Rock Club as well as many other cocktail bars and dance lounges with live music, offer unlimited entertainment options. There is also the three-tier Emerald theatre featuring four new productions, the casino and a dazzling discotheque.

When it comes to relaxation and wellness, the Diadema takes Costa Cruises’ reputation to new heights. Three swimming pools are set within a great lido area and the huge 6,200 sqm2 samsara spa is spread on four decks and offers a unique experience to wellness lovers.
