The Weddings Exhibition is the annual showcase which brings together all that goes into ensuring a fabulous big day celebration for couples, under one roof.

The superb ambience which is generated and the verve with which it is organised belie the fact that this is the 19th year that the Weddings Exhibition is being organised. Events which go on for a number of consecutive years have the tendency to lose the sparkle of the first years – however this is surely not the case here. Joan Haber, the organiser of this fair since its very beginning, is at it with the same vigour as the first one.

“This is my baby. I have seen it grow. Ever since I came up with the idea of organising a weddings fair 18 years ago, I have viewed it as an annual challenge. This fair has grown remarkably well, to the extent that after a few years I was already faced with the problem of not having enough exhibiting space to accommodate the demands of the exhibitors. Then there are other challenges: the challenge to innovate, to be constantly in synch with the times, and most of all to improve year after year, ensuring that levels are top notch.”

The list of exhibitors is impressive and besides the established providers there are also a number of newcomers.

There will be the best caterers, marquee tents hirers, venue decorators, furniture and lighting rentals, music providers and many other exhibitors which offer all services needed for your wedding. The latest trendsetters will also include after-party organisers, neon accessories and flip-flops.

Haber wants to ensure that couples come to the Weddings Exhibition prepared well by planning their visit beforehand. The layout of the fair and the list of exhibitors are being distributed door-to-door throughout Malta and Gozo.

Couples will also benefit from block tickets and the concept of two entrances at the fair benefits both exhibitors and visitors.

All visitors will be entitled to participate in various lotteries with prizes including flight tickets, a daily photo session and an exotic honeymoon in Sri Lanka by Staff Travel.

The Weddings Exhibition will be held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali, within 8,000 square metres of exhibition space, from Thursday, November 6 till Sunday, November 9. The fair will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat.

The Weddings Exhibition promises to be four days of buzzing activity, with exhibitors all set to wow with their glitter and service, and the couples keen to choose and decide on what would make their wedding day a truly memorable one.

On Sunday, November 9, Gozitan couples may also benefit from pre-arranged direct transport, provided from Cirkewwa to MFCC at 2.00pm, with a return from MFCC to Cirkewwa at 8.30pm.

To book, call on 2141 4040 from 9am till 4.30pm.
