Dubai-based airline Emirates has won an award for its in-flight menu for the second year running.

Saveur Magazine awarded it the gong in the first class and business class categories of its Culinary Travel Awards.

The US culinary travel magazine asked a panel of travellers and readers to identify the world’s best cities, markets, restaurants, bars, hotels, airlines and other experiences.

The panel praised Emirates’s seven-course meals served in Royal Doulton china, extensive range of wines and healthy food options.

“Saveur is one of the most influential and respected voices in the culinary world,” said Terry Daly, one of the airline’s divisional senior vice presidents.

Five-star chefs prepare dishes that reflect the culinary tastes of specific routes and destinations, from Japanese gastronomy served in specially designed crockery, to Indian regional favourites.
