A Bosnian man who was tasered by the police after resisting arrest was taken to court today and granted bail.

Marko Bogunobic, 26, a resident of Sliema, fled the scene of an argument in Paceville early yesterday and then tried to hide in a bar. He refused to get out when ordered by the police and then resisted arrest, slightly injuring a police sergeant before being tasered and arrested.

He was taken to court this morning where he pleaded not guilty to causing a disturbance and resisting the police. Bail was granted against a personal guarantee of €3,000.
