Italian brand Luisa Spagnoli has launched its autumn/winter collection. With class and good taste as basic ingredients, the sartorial collection evokes elegance and timeless style.

The designer’s wardrobe is embellished with precious and irresistibly frivolous details. Her designs revisit the classics, from women’s suits to men’s outfits, from petites robes to coats with touches of femininity and personality.

This season features clean-cut jackets with a classic male shape – paying homage to the great Made in Italy tradition – as well as wide or slim-fit black trousers to be matched with single-colour blouses in essentially-cut hard cloth. Zips come back to life: they close jackets and customise even the simplest dresses.

The coat is once again the main outerwear garment of the cold season: single-breasted, with a male cut, with a wide ring-shaped neck and with three-quarter length sleeves or with Murmasky fur cuffs.

An interplay of fabrics is presented by the lace-effect jacquard trench coat you can wear from morning to night and the matelassé small coat.

Knitwear always plays a leading role in Spagnoli’s world, with accurate treatments and top-quality raw materials, in keeping with the brand’s great tradition while there is a rediscovery of the glittering 20s: ostrich and marabou feathers, fringes and sequins are matched with elegant total black.

To shine at night with a touch of irony, theme-based accessories are perfect: hair bands with small veils, small casket clutches and glittering jewels.

The elegant lace weaves, which gracefully highlight female silhouettes with particular charm and elegance, are combined with silk on sleeveless dresses in silver or black; large bows, either around the waist or on the shoulders, give a coquettish twist also to the most essential sheath skirts.

The tuxedo black trousers with contrasting colour reverse hems will be appreciated for their clever mix of femininity and masculine rigour.

This collection was launched on board Royal Caribbean International’s Serenade of the Seas, an event that raised more than €10,000 for the Malta Community Chest Fund.
