Strummin’ is back, bringing with it music from the great artists like The Beatles, U2, Queen and Bob Marley in one big concert by Malta’s biggest guitar choir.

The theme for this concert will be Strummin’ for Change.

This year’s Strummin’ concert is all about bringing about positive change to the benefit of each individual.

In its 13th year, the concert remains Youth Christian Workers’ biggest project – an annual live music concert featuring a guitar choir which raises funds for local charities.

Strummin’ also seeks to be a platform for young local talent, helping develop young people’s potential.

Thanks to past editions, charities such as Suret il-Bniedem Foundation, the Richmond Foundation, the Malta Community Chest Fund and Puttinu Cares have all benefitted from the project, run by volunteers.

Last year Strummin’ raised €5,000, which were donated to Hospice Malta.

This year proceeds from the concert will go to another worthy cause, Dr Klown, a local non-governmental organisation dedicated to provid-ing humour and clown doctor services to child patients and their families at Mater Dei Hospital.

Strummin’ for Change takes place on Friday and Saturday at 8pm at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta, Msida. Tickets are available online.
