The very first wine from the 2014 harvest has been released on the Maltese market after it was bottled at the Delicata winery last week. The wine is the 2014 vintage Victoria Heights Shiraz Rosé made entirely from hand-picked Gozitan Shiraz (Syrah) grapes from selected family-run vineyards.

Lovers of rosé wines should try out this wine while it’s so fresh and packed full of fruit. The younger these wines are, the better they taste, as the aromas and natural acidity in the wine are at their peak and the fruit flavours within are at their freshest and most vivacious.

The beauty of this style of dry rosé wine is that it can be enjoyed either on its own or as an accompaniment to many food dishes, in particular seafood dishes (especially fresh prawns), oriental dishes (especially Chinese), poultry, pizza, salads and many pasta dishes. Always drink it well chilled.
