Malta rugby coach Damian Neill has four new faces in his 30-man squad ahead of the national team’s upcoming double-header against Croatia and the Czech Republic.

Malta open their campaign in the FIRA-AER Division 2A on Saturday when they host Croatia at the Hibs Stadium before a trip to Prague the following week to face the Czech Republic.

Aaron Borg, Ryan Borg and Julian Galea, who are all on the books of Falcons, will be vying to make their debut for the national team while the other newcomer is loose forward Kaine Dimech who plays for All Golds in the United Kingdom.

Neill will be urging his men to make a positive start to the new campaign.

A strong showing against Croatia will set the platform ahead of the following week’s another tough assignment against the Czechs who are ranked among the favourites for promotion in the group along with strong contenders Switzerland.

Last weekend, the Swiss kicked off their campaign in style after beating the newly-promoted Israel 29-18 in Netanya.
