Malta Public Transport Services is operating with a “maximum” of 308 vehicles.

The number includes vehicles owned by MPTS, hired ones and others operating as sub-contractors.

It also includes vehicles operating extra trips in morning peak hours and those in for maintenance.

Transport Minister Joe Mizzi told Toni Bezzina, in reply to a parliamentary question, that every vehicle offering a public transport service is air-conditioned.
