ATTARD. On October 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, AGNES (Ines) of Paola, widow of Anthony, aged 68, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Michelle and her husband Mark Briffa and Natasha and her husband Sandro Caruana, her grandchildren Thea Marie, Emma, and Luke, her brothers and sisters, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, October 30 at 9.30am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CALLEJA. On October 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, EDGAR, passed away peacefully at the venerable age of 90. He leaves to mourn his loss his nephews, nieces, their families and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30pm for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
FRENDO. On October 26, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, HELEN, née Jones, widow of Carmelo, passed away peacefully, one day after her 97th birthday. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Frederick and his wife Marianne, her daughter Elaine and her husband David Azzopardi, her beloved grandchildren Christopher and his partner Liliana, Nicholas and his wife Lisa, Vanessa and her great-granddaughter Maia. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia today at 1.30pm for St Gregory parish church, Sliema where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.15pm followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Special thanks goes to all the dedicated staff at Casa Antonia. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SCICLUNA. On October 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, SALLY, nèe Puli, widow of Emanuel, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She is deeply mourned by her only son, Father Ray, OFM, her sisters Mary, Lin, wife of John Casha, Helen, wife of Tony Burke and Doris Zammit, her brother Charles Puli and his wife Rose, and her many nephews, nieces and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 2pm at Sacro Cuor church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Frate Jacoba, Marsascala, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Din l-Art Ħelwa lecture
Din l-Art Ħelwa is holding a public lecture by Janica Buhagiar on Aspects of Ta’ Braxia Cemetery on November 13 at 6.30pm at its lecture hall, 133, Melita Street, Valletta.
The lecture will look into how the Ta’ Braxia Protestant Cemetery represents a change in artistic sensibilities, which led to a new consciousness towards death in Malta.
Attendance is free but donations to Din l-Art Ħelwa conservation fund will be appreciated.

Bazaar
A Bazaar is being held at the St Helen parish centre, Birkirkara (behind the basilica) from November 4 to 12.
Opening hours will be daily between 9am and 12 noon and 4.30 to 7.30pm. Sunday, morning only.
Among items for sale will be antiques, collectibles, furniture, home grown pot plants and ‘bric a brac’.
Jumble sale
A Jumble Sale is being held in the parish centre, in aid of Our Lady of Fatima parish churchuntil November 30.
One can find all sorts of articles at very low prices. Open every day from 9.30am till noon and from 4 till 7pm.
