A group of Middlesea employees enjoyed a morning at the Girgenti Farm, where they accompanied a group of children from Piccola Casa di San Giuseppe and St Patrick’s Salesian Boys. The activity was part of Middlesea Insurance’s employee volunteering programme, whereby employees are given the opportunity to do voluntary work during working hours.

The children had the opportunity to take part in a number of outdoor activities such as a scavenger hunt, while also spending time feeding animals.

Piccola Casa di San Giuseppe and St Patrick’s Salesian Boys are organisations that provide a home environment for children from difficult backgrounds.

Middlesea CEO Alfredo Munoz said: “We are proud to be able to provide the opportunity to our employees to volunteer during working hours. This is one way to help the community in which we operate. We are aware that, due to other commitments after working hours, employees might find it difficult to allocate time to carrying out voluntary work.”
