EU funds worth €270,000 are to be used for a digital promotion campaign for Gozo.

Parliamentary Secretary for EU Funds Ian Borg said the aim is to put Gozo on a greater competitive level in the increasingly influential e-marketing sector of online interactivity, predominantly in the field of social media.

Dr Borg said the Visit Gozo website is to be redesigned. He said a recent study showed 30 per cent of visitors to Gozo cited the internet as their source of travel information.
