Children need their parents’ consent to enrol.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.

• Masses at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta’ Ħamet, will be said today at 9.30am and at 7.30pm.

• Pompeii will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm. Heaven is for real will be screened on Saturday at 8.30pm.

• A commemorative event in honour of national poet Dun Karm Psaila will take place at the Gozo Ministry hall tomorrow at 7pm.

• A blood donation session will be held at the Gozo General Hospital on Tuesday from 1 to 5pm.

• MUSEUM superior Joe Fenech will be holding a prayer and catechesis meeting at Our Lady of Pompeii church, Victoria, on Thursday from 10 to 11am. All are invited.

He also presents a programme on Radju Maria every Saturday from 1 to 3pm.

• To mark mental health month, the Mental Health Association Gozo will organise its annual national conference on the theme L-Istress – tirbħu jew jirbħek? on Friday from 8.30am to 1pm at the Grand Hotel, Għajnsielem.

• ‘The friaries and churches of the Augustinians, the Franciscan Minor Conventuals and the Capuchins in Rabat’ is the title of Wirt Għawdex’s next lecture on Friday at 6.30pm at Santa Cecilia chapel, Għajnsielem. It will be delivered by Paul Cassar.

The lecture will focus on these buildings’ historic value.

A second lecture on November 7 will focus on their artistic value.

• Members of Il-Fergħa Ewka­ristika (Għawdex) will meet at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary on Saturday at 3pm to celebrate Mass and for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament till 4pm. All are welcome to attend.

• The Diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening on Saturday at 8pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta’ Hamet, followed by Mass at midnight.

• Oasi Foundation is organising a 10-kilometre road run for adults and children aged bet­ween nine and 15, next Sunday at 9am.

A fun walk will also be held for those who would prefer walking..

Free transport will be available for participants coming from Malta on the 7.30am ferry returning back with the 1.30pm ferry.

Places are limited, so those interested should book early to avoid disappointment.

• A ceremony will take place next Sunday, to mark the 66th anniversary of a sea tragedy where 23 people drowned as they were crossing to Gozo. Mass will be said by Can. Joseph Cini at 9.30am aboard a Gozo Channel ferry at the site of the tragedy.

Relatives of the victims and Gozo Minister Anton Refalo, will cast flowers into the sea at the spot where the tragedy occurred.

• A paediatric first aid course organised by the Emergency Res­ponse Rescue Corps of Gozo starts on November 3 at the Ġiġi Clubhouse, Sannat.

• The Gozitan Graduates Movement is organising a First Friday Mass in Maltese for graduates and members of professions in Gozo on November 7 at 8pm at St Augustine’s church, Victoria. The celebrant will be Fr Joseph Mercieca.

• A musical in Maltese called Imhabba ta’ Veru – Kjara u Fran­ġisku l-musical will be performed at Don Bosco Oratory Theatre, Victoria, on November 8 at 7.30pm and November 16 at 2.30pm.

• A seminar entitled ‘Diabetes and vascular disease’ will be held on November 14 at 6pm in the Gozo Ministry exhibition hall to mark World Diabetes Day. The public is invited to attend.
