As a qualifying body the ICE provides an internationally recognised civil engineering qualification and acts as a centre of excellence. It promotes the profession by cultivating an understanding of the positive impact civil engineers have on society.

Student membership of the ICE is free and provides access to the ICE’s extensive library, monthly newsletters, webinars, online services and other support. The chapter will support the faculty’s annual dissertation awards and organise public lectures, design competitions and exhibitions in collaboration with the Malta Group of Professional Engineering Institutions – Institution of Civil Engineers. It will also support international initiatives for students.
