The bus service will begin operating on the winter timetable on Sunday, Malta Public Transport said.

The changes will be as follows:

Routs 3A from Kalkara via Rinella to Smart City, 37A from Ghadira Bay to Armier Bay and 71A from Zurrieq to Blue Grotto and Hagar Qim, will be withdrawn.

Buses on routes 101/102 will stop serving Mgarr and Gnejna Bay and will terminate at Ghajn Tuffieha.

Buses on route 109 will stop serving Ghar Lapsi and the service will terminate on bus stop Bajjada at the Dar tal-Providenza.The X3 trip at 10.35pm from the airport will be withdrawn. The last trip on this route will leave the Airport at 10.05pm.

The changeover to the winter schedule also includes minor changes to specific routes to improve the flow of the particular routes.

The changes are as follows:

Route 51 between Valletta and Mtarfa: The journey from Mtarfa will start and end at bus stop David instead of Regimenti.

Route 54 between Valletta and Attard: The journey from Attard will start and end at bus stop Isptar, in the centre of the village.

Route 203 between Pembroke and Mtarfa: The journey from Mtarfa will start and end at bus stop Qlejgha instead of Regimenti.

Route 63 between Valletta and Qormi: This service will be slightly re-routed at Ta’ Farzina Estate in Qormi.

Winter timetables for all other services will revert to the schedules operated last winter.
