We Maltese are quite renowned for never being satisfied with anything and for always wanting that bit more.
After a walled capital city without a gate, we then grumble about a bronze horse missing one leg pointing to a so-called Parliament building without a completion date and to a theatre without a roof!
What more can we want?
Those of us who have had children or grandchildren know how sweet they look without a front tooth. And then appears the tooth fairy and places a sixpenny – how much is that in euros? – under the pillow and everything is soon fine.
You wait and see.
