We have all seen the iconic shot of sex symbol Marilyn Monroe trying to hold her skirt down as it was lifted up by a blast from a subway vent.

However, there are many other photos of the glamorous actress which have never seen light of day.

Ian Miller, from Bahar ic-Cagħaq, knows a thing or two about these, as he is the owner of about 200 photo negatives of Monroe.

Mr Miller, 51, a retired hairdresser, is donating six photographs, printed for the very first time from the original negatives, to be auctioned to raise funds for charity.

“I bought these negatives from auctions from all over the world – some I have never printed,” he said. To date, he has a collection of about 180 negatives which he keeps in storage in the Netherlands, where he used to work

“When I printed these, I got goose pimples because no matter how many times you look at the negative, a photograph is always a surprise,” he told Times of Malta.
