APAP BOLOGNA. On October 19, at his residence, Magistrate Emeritus JOSEPH APAP BOLOGNA, aged 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Mariella, née Stilon Depiro, his daughter Louisa and her husband Simon Debono, his son Paul, his grandchildren Steven Giuzeppe and Sophie Jane, his brother Louis and his wife Bernardette, his mother and father-in-law, nephews and nieces. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday 23rd, at 2pm for Mosta parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BORGIA. On October 14, in Palermo, Papàs VITO, parish priest of the Greek-Catholic Church of Our Lady of Damascus from 1959 to 2009, passed away peacefully, aged 95. Deeply mourned by the local Greek-Catholic community and by his many friends in Malta. The funeral took place on October 15 at St Demetrios Cathedral church, Piana degli Albanesi, Sicily. A memorial service for the repose of his soul will be said on Sunday, October 26 at 9am at Our Lady of Damascus church, Valletta.

De GABRIELE. On October 21, at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara Fr JOSEPH, passed away, aged 90. He leaves to mourn his loss his nephews Henry and his sons Louis, Mario, Franco and Christian, Carmel and his wife Miriam, and their children Renzo and Mireille, and Bertie, Carmel, Annabelle and Yvette, children of his late nephew Albert, other relatives and friends. Mass will be said today at 2.45pm at Balzan parish church followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

SCHEMBRI. On October 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, GUISEPPA, née Gauci, of Dingli, residing at Rabat, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Vicky, Kathy and her husband Twanny, Mary and her husband Peter, and Michael, her grandchildren Barbara and her husband Kais, Mark Anthony and his wife Doreen and Nickolette, her great-grandchildren Kalvin Lee and Elissa Noor, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for St Paul’s Collegiate parish church Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Villa Mgr. Gonzi, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SPITERI. On October 21, at his residence in Sliema, MANNI, aged 79, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Anna, his children Adrian and his wife Anne, Graziella, and Neville and his fiancée Rebecca, his grandchildren Niki and his wife Martha and Matthew, his sister Victoria, widow of Alfred, his sisters-in-law, Elena and her husband Patrick, and Carmen, widow of Charles, nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated on Friday, October 24 at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by private interment at St Gregory Cemetery, Żejtun. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On October 3, in the UK, PAUL, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Angela, his children Josephine and her husband Charles, Stanley and his wife Odette, his grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be said today at 6.30pm at Tal-Ibraġ parish church. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.

Funeral

The funeral of JOHN SCICLUNA who died on October 6, will take place today. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30pm for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Rest in peace.

Requiem Mass

Today the 19th anniver-sary of the passing away of DORIS SULLIVAN, the 8.30am Mass at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex, will be said for the repose of her soul. Always remembered, John and Vicky, Francis and Louise and their families.
