Three men were arrested on Saturday after being found in possession of drugs, the police said yesterday.

A 32-year-old from Dingli was arrested when cocaine, ecstacy and amphetamine were found in his possession by the drugs squad. The police said there were indications the drugs were destined to be sold.

Members of the rapid intervention union searched a 24-year-old in Paceville and found an amount of cocaine, meaw meaw and ecstacy. In this case too, the police said the drugs were about to be sold.

The third find, late on Saturday, yielded about four kilos of cocaine grass found in the car of a resident of Portopalo, in Sicily. The man, 49, had just arrived in Malta.

The police said the Sicilian was expected to be arraigned today and the other two in the coming days.
