The ‘Fisherman’s Daughter’, Jill Angell, visited a veterinary hospital and several pet shops around Malta to answer questions about her new brand of dry dog food.
While it is manufactured in the UK, the unique connection with Malta is the dog food’s new ingredient – padina pavonica – which was discovered and produced by the Institute of Cellular Pharmacology (ICP) at the Mosta Technopark.
The Fisherman’s Daughter brand includes salmon and potato dog food, fish treats and salmon oil supplements created by husband and wife team Jill and Robert Angell, known as the seafood experts in the pet food industry.
They believe that using simple yet high-quality human-grade ingredients, the dog’s health will visibly improve.
“The Scottish salmon in our complete food is high in omega 3, which boosts the immune system and helps maintain healthy joints, heart, circulation, skin, coat and eye health,” said Angell.
Dogs are living longer because we are looking after them much better so they are prone to the same old-age diseases humans get. The new ingredient also combats arthritis, loss of bone density, stiff joints and deteriorating eyesight in dogs.
