Seven children, seven, youth projects and 12 organisations received the President's Award for Creativity in a ceremony late yesterday.

President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca said the purpose of the award was to encourage and enable young people achieve their artistic dreams.

The award was given to Bryony Grech, 14, Felicity Micallef, 14, Shakira Vella, 11, Sammy Farrugia, 16, Neil Tabone, 11, Carlos Cutajar, 13, Warren Bartolo, 16; 

Projects by Adrian Abela, Peter John Cutajar and Fabrizio Fenech, Ġan Franġisk Abela Junior College, Stephanie Bonnici, Ruth Borg and Marta Vella;

The prize to organisations went to  “DANCE-is ability” by Opening Doors Association,  “Creativity takes Courage” by St Jeanne Antide Foundation,  “The Mystery of the Ordinary”  by Fondazzjoni Ċentru għall-Kreattivita', “We're Artists, We're Dyslexic” by’ Ċentru Tbexbix, “Feel the Vibe” by Dun Manuel Attard Young Adult Education Resource Centre, WAMA (When Art Meets Acting)– Santa Margerita College,  “Active Age” by Theatre Anon Arts Foundation,  Kre-Anza by Naxxar Council, “Integration in Action” by Jesuit Refugee Service (Malta), “Friendship in diversity” by the Organisation for Friendship in Diversity, “Predaturi.com” by Write Deal Association, “Art 2 Heart” by San Ġorġ Preca College.
