The Ministry of Tourism is planning to open a tourist information office in Marsaxlokk.

Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis said during a tour of restaurants in the fishing village that the opening of the office would be one in a series of measures to increase the number of tourists in the south. Other measures included embellishment and the introduction of organised rural walks.

Dr Zammit Lewis said the new tourist office would also be a showcase of crafts made in the south of Malta.
