A teenager has died and two others were injured after a woman stabbed students at a Czech high school with a knife.

Police spokeswoman Jana Kroutilova said the attack took place in the central town of Zdar nad Sazavou, 75 miles south-east of Prague.

Ms Kroutilova said the victim was a 16-year-old boy. The 26-year-old female suspect also injured two teenage girls and a police officer before she was arrested.

Police say the suspect was from a different Czech region and it was not immediately clear why she attacked the students.
