The winner of today’s Mdina Grand Prix race will receive a Chopard Mille Miglia 2014 watch.

Originally the brainchild of French entrepreneur and classic car enthusiast Thierry Giovannini, Malta’s Classic Car Grand Prix has evolved into a classic car tournament that attracts classic car racers and enthusiasts from all over the world.

“The Mdina Grand Prix has become a fixture on our local calendar and an incredible opportunity for the island to showcase some of its most breathtaking spots,” said Malcolm Lowell, managing director at Edwards, Lowell Co Ltd, which has partnered up with the Mdina Grand Prix.

“Reminiscent of Italy’s iconic Mille Miglia, during which drivers race from Brescia to Rome and back, the Mdina Grand Prix is an event of great calibre. Along with Chopard, we thought it would be fitting to award the Chopard Mille Miglia 2014 watch,” he added.

The Chopard Mille Miglia 2014 is part of a series of watches the Swiss-based luxury watch, jewellery and accessories company has been creating since 1988, when it became the tournament’s official timekeeper and watchmaker.

To view the Chopard collection at Edwards, Lowell Co Ltd, visit the brand’s boutiques in Spinola Bay, St Julian’s and Zachary Street, Valletta.
