Three indie music bands are joining for one big gig in Marsascala. Girl-duo Fuzzhoneys, four-piece rock band Pyramid Suns and rock’n’rollers Falcon’s Flying Circus will be performing original material as well as giving their take on more well-known tracks.

Fuzzhoneys, made up of Francesca Mercieca on guitar and vocals and Caroline Spiteri on drums combine the influences of grunge, alternative rock, blues and soul, among others. These genres continue to develop the Fuzzhoneys sound, which is based on husky vocals, a balance between groovy bass-lines/crispy riffs and creative drumbeats. The duo recently released a music video for their single Soul which can be watched on You Tube.

Pyramid Suns is made up of vocalist and guitarist Joel Baldacchino, lead guitarist Kyle Fenech, bass guitarist Keith Fenech and drummer Michael Vella Zarb.

The band has been playing and writing original music since March this year. They held their debut gig at Razzett l-Aħmar.

The band’s sound is defined by Baldacchino’s energetic singing, interjected by freshening guitar solos and supported by a driving backbone from the rhythm section.

Falcon’s Flying Circus are a four-piece band made up of Dave on vocals, Kurt on guitars, Pete on bass and Spike on drums. The band is expected to launch their debut album shortly.

The event takes place on Saturday at Zion, Marsascala. Doors open at 9pm, tickets at the door.
