With the much-awaited Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy now less than three days away, the indications are that the National Stadium will be full.

After MFA general secretary Bjorn Vassallo announced on Tuesday that 80 per cent of the tickets had been sold, Times of Malta learnt that just under 500 tickets, in the West side (enclosure), are still available for Monday's match.

Italy beat Azerbaijan 2-1 yesterday to extend their perfect start in Group H while Malta went down to a 3-0 home defeat to Norway.

The Italy squad, led by coach Antonio Conte, are expected to arrive tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, the Malta FA have teamed up with Cisk, one of their main sponsors, to set up a fan park for the Malta-Italy game.

The fan park, located in the grounds of the MFCC, will open at 5pm.

As part of the MFA's Football Social Responsibility Programme, the players' escorts for yesterday's qualifier against Norway were members of the Special Olympics while those for Monday's game against Italy hail from Inspire.
