CALLUS. On October 8, at St Catherine’s Home, Attard, Fr PHILIP CALLUS, aged 89, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Mary, his sister-in-law Ann Callus, widow of Edmund, his nephews and nieces, Joseph, Gaetano, Mary, Ugo, Daniel, Peter, Catherine and Margaret and their spouses. The funeral leaves St Catherine’s Home today at 1.30pm for St Mary’s parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Qalb ta’ Ġesù Cemetery, Żebbuġ. Special thanks to the sisters and staff at St Catherine’s Home for their love and dedication. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. On October 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELO, widower of Filomena, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters Doris and her husband Charles Borg, Carmen and her husband Victor Calvagna MD, his grandchildren Stephany and Adrian Dalli, Bernard and Maria Borg Bileci, Francesca, Rebecca and their respective boyfriends, his adorable great-grandchildren Michela and Matteo, his brother George and his sisters Filomena and Irene, all of Australia, his brother-in-law Emmanuel Schembri and his wife Tessie, and sister-in-law Agnes Vella, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3pm for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Foundation and the Archbishop’s Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at the Holy Family Home, Naxxar, for their love and dedication, and also to the doctors and nurses at Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PACE BONELLO. On October 8, Lt. Col. Chev. ANTOINE PACE BONELLO, MBE, Knight Commander of the Constantinian Order of St George, widower of Mabel Catherine, aged 93, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Lovingly remembered by his children Christine, Julian and his wife Marguerite, Sandro and his wife Carole and Caroline and her husband Renato Portelli, his grandchildren Francesca and Martin Pursey, Catherine, Sophie, Bethany, Malcolm and Paula Scicluna and Ben, his sister-in-law Blanche, widow of his brother Louis, as well as Miguel and Marcus Bonello and their families, his carer Marites Abalos and many other relatives and friends; members of the 2nd and 3/11th RMA Regiments and the AFM. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 2pm at St Julian’s parish church, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Ħamrun, will be appreciated. Special thanks go to the staff at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, and LiveLife. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SANT. On October 8, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, MARIA DOLORES (Doris), née Ciantar, aged 73, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband John (Vanni), her children Juanita and her husband Oisin, Elania and her husband Peter, Ines and her husband Paolo, André and his wife Charmaine, and Valeria and her husband Clyde, her grandchildren Quinn, Daniel, Nikolai and Cristina, her sister Carmela and brothers Emanuel, Charles, Saviour and Anthony and their respective families, her in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence on Saturday, October 11 at 7.45am for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Tal-Erwieħ Cemetery, Tarxien. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
