A Nigerian man was remanded in custody yesterday after he denied falsifying and being in possession of counterfeit Italian identification documents.

Ruby Okeoma, 28, who lives in Fgura, was accused of falsifying an Italian passport and an Italian residency permit. No details were given in court as to how he was allegedly caught.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke denied a request for bail.

Police Inspector Darren Buhagiar prosecuted.
