A prostitute who stole the wallet of a regular client was jailed for three years today after she was also convicted of loitering for the purpose of prostitution and breaching previous court sentences.

Donna Camilleri was found guilty of having stolen the wallet, containing €80, belonging to Robert Spiteri in September last year.

Mr Spiteri told the court that he had agreed a price of €20 with Ms Camilleri and drove her in his car to Marsa industrial estate. There, she demanded more money.

A man approached, grabbed him by the neck, and demanded more money. Ms Camilleri then took his wallet.

He did not recognise Kyle Mifsud, who stands accused of complicity in the theft and aggression. Mifsud was acquitted for lack of evidence.

Ms Camilleri had said it was Mifsud who stole the money.
