This morning’s session at the Borza was quiet, with only 13 trades across three equities, totalling 27,483 shares. The MSE Share Index eased 0.2% lower to 3,341.608 points as HSBC Bank Malta plc failed to hold on to yesterday’s €2.00 level, closing 1% lower at the €1.98 level. A total of 13,400 shares of the bank changed hands across six deals.

There was no change in the share price of Bank of Valletta plc, which closed at €2.25, as 12,512 shares traded across 4 deals. The bank failed to hold on to an intra-day high of €2.265. Meanwhile, GO plc edged marginally higher to close at the €2.59 level. Three deals in the quad-play telecoms company shares resulted in just 1,571 shares changing hands during today’s session.

On the bond market, the Rizzo Farrugia MGS Index edged 0.1% lower to 1,089.995 points, as Eurozone yields were regaining momentum, after having slipped below the 0.90% level on weak German economic data issued yesterday.
