The latest Costa Cruises vessel will be calling at Malta next month ahead of its inaugural cruise.

The Costa Diadema, which will be christened in Genoa on November 7, will spend the morning of November 5 berthed in Grand Harbour as part of its vernissage cruise.

At 1pm, it will sail on to Naples, having previously called at Dubrovnik and Corfu on its way from Trieste in Italy.

The vessel aims to entertain travellers of all ages, with a 500-metre promenade, three pools, a generous shopping area full of designer stores and a ‘Star Laser’ area, which offers laser games and doubles up as a dance floor.

A novelty for this ship is the Country Rock Club, which will play legendary classic rock by excellent international artists as well as hosting tribute concerts and line dancing events.

Toddlers and young children can enjoy an exclusive children’s area on the open deck or join the free ‘Squok Club’ while their parents relax.
